Driver Killed In Benson-Area Crash

BENSON – One person was killed when a pickup truck ran off the roadway and slammed into a tree. The single vehicle wreck was reported around 6:15 this morning (Tuesday) on Federal Road outside of Benson.

The State Highway Patrol says the driver ran off the left side of Federal Road and went down an embankment and overturned into a tree. The driver died at the scene. There were no other occupants in the truck.

Troopers are still investigating the fatal crash and have not released the name of the individual who died.
