Drug Investigation Leads To Three Felony Arrests

JOHNSTON COUNTY — Three people were arrested on felony charges following a drug investigation at a residence in the 1800 block of Massengill Pond Road near the Harnett County line.
The arrests were made Dec. 30 after an investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division that began in early November.
Deputies executed a search warrant at the home and seized approximately 12 grams of methamphetamine, 1 gram of Ecstasy, 3 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Connie Dwayne Futrell, 47, of Holland Road in Angier, was charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gerry Albert Bjork, 61, of Stage Drive in Raleigh, was charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Christal Lee Millette, 53, of Holland Road in Angier, was charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Futrell was held without bond. Bjork was given a $30,000 secured bond, and Millette received a $20,000 secured bond. All three were processed at the Johnston County Detention Center in Smithfield.
Johnston County Animal Control responded to the scene to check the welfare of nine dogs reported to be owned by the suspects. The animals were placed with family members.
Johnston County Building Inspections also conducted an inspection of the residence.
