A Johnston County man was arrested Wednesday night for driving while impaired and other traffic offenses. A Johnston County deputy was on patrol around 11:45pm on US 70 East near Princeton when the officer clocked a vehicle on his radar traveling 103 mph in a 55 mph zone.
The deputy caught up with the car and conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of US 70 and Martin Livestock Road. The driver, identified as Vincent Gregory Clark, 44, of the 6800 block of Princeton-Kenly Road, Princeton registered 0.23 on the breathalyzer, according to Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell. That’s nearly three times above the legal limit of 0.08.
Clark was charged with driving while impaired, reckless driving and speeding. He was given a $2,500 bond.
