Members of the East Coast Fire softball team have returned home after winning the National Fallen Firefighters Softball Tournament in Las Vegas. The team won the 40 & Over division.
The team consisted of firefighters from the local area and Maryland. Johnny Dixon from Micro and John Pinder from Pine Level played on the team.
East Coast Fire defeated teams from Florida, Texas, Maryland, New York and Detroit to win the championship. The tournament was held October 27-29. It had originally been scheduled earlier this year but was postponed.
