Easter Joy Blooms For Clayton’s Littlest Residents

CLAYTON, NC – Families are celebrating the Easter holiday a little early with the Town of Clayton as little ones leave the Tiny Tots Easter Egg Hunt with full baskets, thanks to Clayton Parks and Recreation.

Bright colors covered the grass at Clayton Community Park (1075 Amelia Church Road) as toddlers and preschoolers set out to gather hundreds of eggs made just for them. Designed for children ages four and under, the event gave young participants the chance to explore at their own pace. Laughter and excitement spread quickly as loved ones watched their children discover treats hidden across the field.

“These early experiences are special for families,” said Lauren Lambert, Marketing and Special Events Coordinator for Clayton Parks and Recreation. “For many children, this may be their first egg hunt, and we want it to be a joyful and memorable moment they can share together.”

The fun began early with lawn games and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. Guests lined up for photos, capturing sweet moments with the beloved springtime guest. Smiles, hugs, and playful energy created picture perfect scenes throughout the park.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, the egg hunt began, and it did not take long for tiny hands to scoop up the colorful treasures. Children moved freely across the field, enjoying the activity with plenty of room to explore.

This year’s location moved to Clayton Community Park while Clayton High School is undergoing construction. With limited parking and a focus on younger children, the event offered a more intimate experience while still delivering plenty of fun.
“Our team puts a lot of heart into every detail,” said Lambert. “Seeing families enjoy that time together makes all the effort worthwhile.”
