Electrical Power Line Stolen

Thieves apparently risked their lives to steal a section of power line last week.

A Duke Energy crew reported 371 feet of power lines had been stolen from between several poles on County Line Road outside of Benson.  The theft was discovered Thursday morning.  Officials immediately replaced the missing section of power line.

The lines were not located near any homes and there were no apparent witnesses.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
