Ex-Employee Arrested For Credit Card Fraud

ANGIER – A former employee at a Johnston County plumbing business has been arrested. Bryson Blaine Woodell, 23, of NC Highway 50 N, Angier, has been charged with felony financial card fraud and felony financial card theft.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, Woodell was a former employee at Avery Plumbing, Inc. on Plain View Church Road.

Woodell was terminated from his job in 2024. He did not turn in a fuel credit card issued to him reportedly telling his employer it had been lost.

After his termination, Woodell reportedly used the company fuel card to make multiple purchases totaling $2,582.25 before the card was canceled.

The theft was reported to sheriff’s investigators in January 2025. Woodell was arrested June 10 and held under a $5,000 secured bond.
