WILSON’S MILLS – Four people were injured in a fiery head on collision on Fire Department Road near Southerland Road. The crash was reported around 7:40pm Saturday.
An Infinity traveling northbound and a Toyota traveling southbound collided head on. The Infinity traveled off Fire Department Road and overturned ejecting the driver. The car came to rest upright into the edge of a wooded area and caught fire. There were no passengers in the Infinity.
The Toyota spun around in the roadway coming to rest on the shoulder. Two of the three occupants in the Toyota were pinned inside.
Both drivers and two passengers in the Toyota were rushed to Wake Med. Three of the four victims reportedly had serious injuries.
The driver of the Infinity is facing charges. The names of those involved has not been released pending completion of an accident report by the State Highway Patrol.
