The Johnston County Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that destroyed two campers. The blaze was reported around 5:30pm Monday on Bakers Chapel Road off Brogden Road.
Firefighters found a 1960’s model camper being used as a tool shed fully involved in flames. The fire had also spread to an adjacent camper.
Crews from the Brogden, Pine Level and Princeton Fire Departments had the blaze under control within 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.
The campers were a total loss. The cause of the fire has not been determined, according to Johnston County Fire Marshal Adam Stanley.
