After 34 years of service, the Selma Fire Department will be selling a fire truck.
The 1984 Duplex Fire Truck/Pumper was purchased new by the department at a cost of $136,000. The truck is no longer needed and the department had been planning to sell the truck prior to the purchase of a new ladder truck.
The surplus truck is being advertised for sale on GovDeals.com and will sold to the highest bidder. The auction ends on Sept. 23rd. As of Friday afternoon, the fire truck had a high bid of $1,600.
The Selma Police Department is also selling a surplus 2002 Ford Crown Victoria police car on the website.
