PINE LEVEL – A Johnston County firefighter suffered the tragic loss of his home and its contents. It happened around 12:42am Saturday, February 22 on Silver Tee Court off Parrish Memorial Road.
Pine Level, Micro, Princeton, and Selma Fire found smoke and flames coming from the home. The blaze caused very extensive damage.
The Pine Level Fire Department said the home belonged to one of their firefighters and his family.
A GoFundMe account had been established to assist the family. The Pine Level Fire Department is also conducting a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are available at the Pine Level Fire Station or through any member.
Johnston County Fire Marshal Ryan Parker said the exact origin of the fire could not be determined.
The Red Cross is assisting the family. No injuries were reported.
