Clayton Fire Chief Lee Barbee’s firefighters know he expects his sidewalks, driveways and parking lots at all Clayton fire facilities to be cleared immediately after a snow.
Fire crews on duty Thursday morning had a little fun with the snow clearing efforts, writing his name in the parking lot while performing snow removal duties.
“Our jobs are tough, especially when it means being out in the freezing cold overnight, but it helps if you love your work and your co-workers and know how to appreciate the simple beauty of a sunrise and a little poke at your boss,” according to Stacy Beard, Town of Clayton Public Information Officer.
Town of Clayton facilities will close at 4:00PM Thursday and will reopen at 10:30am Friday due to the icy road conditions.
