The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #88 purchased and donated 600 new book bags to help children in Johnston County Schools.
Each book bag was filled with essential school supplies like pencils, paper, glue sticks, erasers, and notebooks, which were also purchased by the Fraternal Order of Police.
Several members of the order worked hand in hand with Johnston County School social workers, nurses, and administration to fill the bags at JCS Facility Services on Market Street in Smithfield.
The Fraternal Order of Police have long been a supporter of Johnston County Schools, and all of the members at the book bag event said they were extremely glad to be able to help provide resources for the county’s children. Contributed photo
