SMITHFIELD – A Selma man escaped injury after being involved in an alleged road rage incident. It happened on Monday, Jan. 15 around 7:00pm on Outlet Center Drive near Venture Drive.
The 20 year-old victim said a gray passenger car, possibly a gray Honda Accord, was traveling in front of him when the driver suddenly slammed on the brakes. The unknown driver exited the vehicle and pointed a handgun in his direction.
The suspect exchanged words with the victim then fled.
Smithfield Police are investigating the road rage assault.
