FOUR OAKS – Two separate traffic accidents on Interstate 95 near Four Oaks caused heavy traffic delays. The first accident was reported around 5:00pm Tuesday in the northbound lanes, north of US 701 near the Neuse River Bridge. Two people sustained minor injuries.
As traffic backed up due to the first collision, a second accident was reported a few minutes later in the northbound lanes between Keen Road and US 701. One person sustained minor injuries.
The accidents caused traffic to back up for several miles before both northbound lanes could reopen. Southbound traffic was not impacted.
