Johnston County Deputies Seize Fentanyl, Meth In Selma-Area Search

SELMA, N.C. — Two men are facing drug charges following a search warrant executed earlier this month in the Selma area, according to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s narcotics agents carried out the warrant on April 9 in the 1700 block of Old Batten Road, located off U.S. 301 north of Selma. During the search, investigators reported finding and seizing suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Authorities arrested Everette Ray Naylor, 37, of Old Batten Road, and Aaron Edward Jones, 34, of Crockers Nub Road in Middlesex.

Naylor was charged with possession of fentanyl, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jones was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Investigators said the case remains under investigation and additional charges have not been ruled out.

    • Drug trafficking has hit a new high in this county since the expansion, HOWEVER, that’s not true, it’s like running a bear out of it’s natural elements when construction start, or fogging a house for roaches and rats. they have fogged the county and drugs are popping up everywhere. Time to fill out an application at one of the hundreds of jobs hiring in the county.

  2. Please there is a houseful of them moved into their friends and they even pitched tents to live in the yard. Aren’t the landlords responsible. So many children are dying because the Fentanyl is a problem. We want stricter laws or arrest the ones that have citations against them. The one lady has 61 arrests. She should be in jail. We do not want them in our neighborhood.
    Do something today.
