Arrest Made After Man Is Fatally Shot Through Front Door

MIDDLESEX – A Johnston County man has been charged with murder after reportedly shooting an acquaintance through the front door of his home.

Bryan Keith Narron, age 32, of 11492 NC Highway 222 West, Middlesex (a Johnston County address) was arrested March 17 on a felony murder warrant.

On February 15 around 1:58am, deputies responded to a report of an attempted home invasion at 11491 NC Highway 222 West, near Stancil’s Chapel. Jake Michael Pozzi, age 36, of Middlesex, was found deceased at the scene.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) said based on evidence recovered at the scene and through their investigation claims of an attempted break-in and home invasion were unsubstantiated, as Narron had reportedly claimed.

Authorities said Jake Pozzi and Bryan Keith Narron were acquaintances. Pozzi had been at the Narron’s home for a period of time prior to being fatally shot through the front door, the JCSO determined.

Narron is currently being held in the Johnston County Detention Center without bail.

Pozzi is survived by three daughters, ages 14, 12, and 10.

  1. No loss either way. Pozzi was a pain to law enforcement for many years. Justice served….now Narron will not be a problem for law enforcement for many decades…

    • Wow you are disgusting human being! Being a “pain” to law enforcement does NOT warrant being killed or murdered! U probably were a pain to your wife,co workers, and the community so does that mean justice would be served if the same thing happened to you?!? Thank GOD your retired its officers like you that is the problem! The justice system fails our youth everyday! Had Jake been properly rehabilitated rather than thrown in jail or prison this would be a different news article

      • It is not the justice department’s job to raise kids or “rehabilitate”. Their job is to ensure justice is served. In other words, every action has a reaction…commit a crime and expect to be held accountable. Everyone has free will to choose their actions. Choose good actions and justice will be pleasant. • Wooooooooow, NO LOSS?? That’s a mighty bold comment coming from someone who was SUPPOSED to have compassion for human life, Mr Retired Deputy
God doesn’t make mistakes and his life had a purpose… just like yours.
Many people just haven’t encountered Jesus Christ yet, but I sure hope you get to experience His love one day

    • It’s easy to say things about people when you hide behind a screen name and a desk or a badge isn’t it. Go tell his daughters or his father that

  2. Woooooow, I sure hope you encounter the Love of Jesus Christ one day, Mr Retired Officer, cause you really don’t have any compassion. I think we can ALL be greatful that you’ve retired.
This man left kids behind, get it together and grow up, all you did with your little comment is show everyone that you’re NO better than he is
Human life is valuable, I don’t care WHO you are or WHAT you’ve done, Jesus LOVES EVERYONE
