Johnston Health received its first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine on Thursday morning. Ruth Marler, CNO/COO, administered the first shot to Lisa Johnson, a nurse in the emergency department. She is among the 1,000 frontline workers and medical providers in the organization who will be inoculated first.
Marler said the vaccine was the best Christmas present ever. Johnson says she was honored to be the first. She has worked with the Johnston Health for nearly 30 years.
