Johnston County Investigators Charge Middlesex Man In Shooting Case

MIDDLESEX, N.C. — The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting in northeastern Johnston County.
Deputies responded around 1:08 a.m. Tuesday to a reported shooting in the 100 block of Brooke Lane, off Barnes Road near Middlesex.
When deputies arrived, they found a man lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.
Investigators identified the suspect as 43-year-old Bryan Devon Wilson of Joyce Drive in Middlesex. Wilson was located Tuesday night and taken into custody.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators believe Wilson arrived at the Brooke Lane residence and began firing at the victim shortly after the victim returned home with a woman.
Authorities said Wilson and the woman had previously been involved in a relationship.
The investigation remains ongoing.
