Buies Creek – Campbell junior De’Shawn Jones has been named to the College Football Performance Awards’ FCS All-Purpose Performer of the Year Watch List.
The all-purpose watch list includes 20 running backs and 12 wide receivers from across FCS. The award winner will be announced Jan. 13, 2016.

Jones is just three yards away from becoming Campbell’s first 1,000 yard rusher. His 997 yards are already a CU single season record, and is only nine yards shy of Carl Smith’s (2008-11) Campbell career record of 1,918 rushing yards.
The junior running back ranks ninth in the country in rushing yards, and has collected six touchdowns on the ground this season.
Jones owns four 100-plus yard games this season, including a school record 201 in a win at Davidson. He has also posted five individual runs of 50 or more yards.
Jones and the Camels will finish out the 2015 season at home, hosting Jacksonville on Saturday, Nov. 14th. Kickoff is set for 1:00pm. Campbell is 5-5 overall and 3-4 in Pioneer Football League play this season.
