A K-9 alerted on a pickup truck stopped by Nash County deputies. Inside the vehicle, officers said they found five kilos of methamphetamines with a potential street value of $500,000.
Around 10:00am last Saturday, August 29th, deputies stopped a Ford F-250 truck on Highway 264 East for a traffic violation. Deputies suspected criminal activity during the traffic stop and had a K-9 sniff the vehicle. A positive alert was given by the K-9 which led to the search. Five kilograms of crystal ICE methamphetamines was located inside a box in the truck.
Juan Pablo Perez-Pina, 23, of Cordova, Tennessee was arrested on narcotics trafficking charges and placed in the Nash County Detention Center on a $1 million secured bond.
