Kitchen Goat Feeds Donation Helps Kenly Families Battling Cancer

KENLY, N.C. — Kitchen Goat Feeds was selected as the CBS 17 3 Degree Guarantee charity for March 2026, resulting in a $2,400 donation through the station’s weather-based community giving program.

Each evening during the CBS 17 Storm Team forecast, meteorologists attempt to predict the temperature within three degrees of the actual high. When they succeed, CBS 17 and Michael & Son make a charitable donation through the program.

On Wednesday, Jason Knapp of Kitchen Goat Feeds presented the Kenly Police Department with $1,200 from the donation to help local individuals and families battling cancer offset financial hardships during treatment.

“We are truly grateful for Jason and the entire Kitchen Goat Feeds organization for their kindness, generosity, and servant hearts,” Police Chief James Ayers said.

“People like Jason Knapp are shining a light into the lives of people facing some of the darkest chapters of their lives while battling cancer,” Ayers added. “His generosity is inspiring others to help others, and because of that, the light in our community keeps getting brighter and brighter.”

Kitchen Goat Feeds said the remaining funds will continue supporting efforts to assist cancer patients and families in need.
