An out-of-state man was injured during a weekend robbery at a busy shopping center. It happened around 11:30am Saturday at the Middle Creek Commons on Highway 42 at Highway 50.
The victim, a 33 year-old Georgia man, was outside a business in the Middle Creek Commons shopping center when he was reportedly attacked by three suspects. Witnesses said the suspects punched and kicked the victim before stealing his money and jewelry. The suspects fled in two vehicles, a Dodge Charger and white sedan. No additional information was disclosed on the suspects or their vehicles.
Deputies said the victim was covered in blood from the attack but fortunately his injuries were not life threatening. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and following up on leads in the case. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is encouraged to notify deputies.
