Man Charged After Assault At Clayton-Area Taco Bell
CLAYTON, N.C. — A 30-year-old Taco Bell employee was seriously injured during an assault outside the restaurant Saturday night, leading to the arrest of a 23-year-old Ahoskie man on a felony charge.
Johnston County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched around 10:03 p.m. July 4 to the Taco Bell on South Merchant Avenue off N.C. 42 East in the Flowers community after receiving a report of a fight.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, two employees became involved in an argument while working inside the restaurant. A manager reportedly directed both employees to leave the business in an attempt to end the dispute.
Investigators said the boyfriend of one of the employees then became involved and allegedly attacked the other worker, repeatedly striking the 30-year-old victim.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Deputies arrested Tony Moore, 23, of Ahoskie, and charged him with felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury.
The investigation remains ongoing.
