Benson Friendsgiving Celebration To Include Free Meal, Games, Activities

BENSON – The Evidence Church and Evidence Community Initiatives will host a free Friendsgiving Community Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 402 E. Hill Street in Benson.

The family-friendly event will include a Thanksgiving dinner, games, candy, fellowship and other activities.

The celebration comes as The Evidence Church prepares to establish a new location in Benson.

Lead Pastor Keandre Raiford said the church hopes to become involved in the community and build relationships with local residents, families and organizations.

Raiford is working alongside Missions Pastor Valerie Cole-Morrison and Evidence Community Initiatives on the outreach effort.

Cole-Morrison’s previous community outreach work has included assisting local schools, providing food and household necessities to families and organizing community gatherings, according to the church.

Organizers said the Nov. 14 event is intended to give area residents an opportunity to enjoy a free meal and activities while becoming acquainted with the church and its community outreach efforts.

The event is free and open to the public.
