JOHNSTON COUNTY – A 32 year-old man said he was robbed at gunpoint at his home. The incident was reported just before 7:00pm Monday at an address in the 3800 block of Cornwallis Road, Garner, in Johnston County.
The victim said he placed a jacket for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Someone messaged him about the jacket and they agreed to meet him at his home to purchase it for $75.
Two suspects arrived in a silver car. Both suspects, reportedly armed with handguns, robbed the victim of his jacket then fled.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is following up on leads. The victim was not injured.
