Man Wanted Since 2023 Arrested, Facing Additional Charges
BENSON, N.C. — A Johnston County man wanted on outstanding felony drug charges was arrested during a traffic stop.

Mark Galen Dean, 48, of Angier, was taken into custody around 10:40 p.m. on April 16 on Old Fairground Road near Benson.
During the stop, deputies said they located approximately 8 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Dean was wanted by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office on 2023 charges that include two counts of trafficking methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine.
As a result of the traffic stop, Dean was additionally charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance.
His bond was set at $1,005,000.

A second occupant of the vehicle, Tammy Joann Caudill, 52, of Selma, was also arrested. She was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Caudill’s bond was set at $10,000.
