The Clayton Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to recognize Ms Cathy West as SUPER STAR Teacher of the Month for September. SUPER STAR teachers demonstrate excellence and leadership in their classroom, creativity and motivation of their students and show a high level of commitment to our community.
Ms West, a teacher at Clayton Middle School, expects all of her students to rise to the challenge. She motivates them to work hard and does not accept failure. She teaches all students to have a strong work ethic and demonstrates a love for learning. She loves history and her classroom displays many relics and artifacts of our country and state.
Ms West is an honored member of numerous historical societies and also participates in scene reenactments in the community.
