More car break-ins have been reported in Johnston County. Items were taken from 7 vehicles Sunday night and Monday morning. Authorities said all 7 of the vehicles had been left unlocked.
Six of the break-ins occurred in the Millstone Ridge Subdivision off Highway 210 near White Memorial Road in Johnston County, outside of Angier. One break-in was reported on Old Fairground Road, off Highway 210.
Cash seemed the be the item the intruder or intruders were most interested in.
No arrests have been made. The 7 break-ins are being investigated by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
In the month of October, 47 car break-ins have been reported in the Town of Clayton. Clayton Police are investigating those cases.
Authorities ask residents not to make it easy for thieves. Remember to always lock your car, even in your driveway. Do not leave valuables in your car, and hide them out of sight if you have no other option.
