This morning, Clayton Police received six new reports of overnight break-ins to unlocked cars parked in Riverwood Athletic Club. This is the second night of break-ins to unlocked cars.
Wednesday morning, between midnight and 7am, Clayton Police received 12 reports of break-ins to unlocked cars from around Town: Five reports from The Arbors at East Village apartment complex off East Front Street; Five reports at the Amelia Station apartments located off Amelia Church Road near the intersection with N.C. 42; and two reports in the Summerlyn neighborhood off Glen Laurel Road.
The victims reported missing valuables including purses, wallets, electronics and more. Both nights, all of the burglarized cars were left unlocked near the victim’s homes or in the driveway.
