More Trouble For Man Accused Of Shooting Girlfriend

JOHNSTON COUNTY – A Halifax County man charged with shooting his girlfriend at a Johnston County home in January is in more trouble with law enforcement officers.

Around 5:00am January 31, Johnston County deputies allege Marquvis Raytas Pulley, age 27, of Hollister, NC shot his girlfriend in the hip while at a home on Seedling Court, Zebulon, off Earpsboro Road. The 26 year-old victim drove herself to a nearby business to summon help.

Pulley was arrested February 3 and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He later posted bond at the Johnston County Jail.

During their investigation, deputies reportedly found in excess of 10 pounds of marijuana at the Seedling Court address. Pulley was rearrested Feb. 16 and charged with three counts of trafficking marijuana, one count of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, and one count of possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver a controlled substance.

Pulley was held on a $250,000 bond following the latest charges.

  1. Hold up. He got a 50,000 dollar bond for shooting someone. And a 250,000 for a plant that can be used for medical purposes and that is safer than alcohol. Yep you know when your in a Republican county
