SAMPSON COUNTY – A Sampson County roadway will be closed for about two weeks as the N.C. Department of Transportation upgrades the drainage at multiple locations.
Chancy Road near U.S. 701 (Garland Highway) will be closed to traffic May 6-17. NCDOT will replace four pipes in this vicinity to improve water flow in the area.
Drivers can use U.S. 701 to travel around the closures. NCDOT encourages drivers to use caution near the work sites and plan ahead as their commutes may take longer than normal.
