The Johnston County Board of Commissioners approved a request at their September meeting from the NC Department of Transportation to add the following roads to the State Maintained System in Johnston County:
- River Mist Trail (SR 3520 Extension) – Prestwood Subdivision – Wilders Township
- Weatherstone Lane, Oldstone Way, Rockwater Way, and Iron Gate Drive – Stoneridge Farm Phase One – O’Neals Township
- Barberry Lane and Quince Court – Charlestowne Subdivision – Boon Hill and Smithfield Townships
- Kyndallee Lane (SR 3413), St. Jiles Drive (SR 2916), Bornean Drive (SR 3712), and Brakas Lane – Kyndal Subdivision – Cleveland Township
- Newman Lane – Carlton Pointe Subdivision – Wilders Township
