No Sensitive Information On Stolen Computer Hard Drives

Johnston County School officials announced Wednesday there was no sensitive information on 8 computer hard drives that were stolen from the West Campus.

WTSB News has learned 8 hard drives and three flat screen monitors were stolen from an unlocked school van parked at the West Campus, located at 211 East Rose Street, in Smithfield.  The theft occurred between Friday and Tuesday.

Tracey Peedin Jones, Public Information Officer with Johnston County Schools, said there was no information located on the hard drives. 

Smithfield Police are investigating the theft but do not have any suspects.  The stolen items were valued at $1,090.
