Benson, NC: Mrs. Aleen Maness Langdon, age 102, of Hwy 50 North, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie White. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
Mrs. Langdon was born on October 25, 1920 in Moore County to the late William Herbert, Sr. and Sarah Lalah Shields Maness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Britt Langdon; sister, Juanita Maness Matthews; brother, William H. Maness, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Sheila N. Langdon. Mrs. Langdon retired from Johnston County Public Schools where she taught at Benson Elementary and Middle Schools for 30 years. She was a member of Benson Baptist Church. Mrs. Langdon was a lovely, sweet lady, and her light which shone for 102 years will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Surviving includes her, daughter, Deborah L. Turner and husband, Butch of Benson; son, Tracy B. Langdon of Benson; grandson, Christopher B. Langdon of Fayetteville; sister-in-law, Frances Maness of Pinehurst; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
