Arthur Warren Hudson, age 76, of Smithfield, NC entered his heavenly home on May 8, 2025. He was born April 5, 1949, in Lynchburg, VA, to Arthur D. Hudson and Mary M. Hudson. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald Hudson.
Warren graduated from Lane High School in 1967 and in the same year, proudly enlisted in the United State Air Force, where he went to battle in the Vietnam War as a Staff Sergent Security Police Officer. After serving in the U.S. Airforce, he began a career with Dobson Pest Control as a District Manager in Charlottesville, Va. He continued his career in N.C. until he retired after 28 years. He was the utmost proud as his son Warren, daughter Amanda, grandson W.D., and nephew Brian, followed in his footsteps and enlisted in the U.S. Airforce just as he did.
Warren leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 26 years, Phyllis Vaughn Hudson of Smithfield, NC. His son, Warren D. Hudson and wife Lisa of Euclid, OH, and two daughters, Ashely Gibbons of Kenly, N.C. and Amanda Hudson of Midlothian, VA. Grandchildren; W.D. Hudson II and wife Danielle, Peyton Novak and husband Kraig, Lexie Hudson, Kobe Gibbons, Zach Donathan and wife Miranda, Robbie Cox and wife Jessica his Great-grandchildren, Addison, Zoey, Hazel, Grace, and W.D III (Ren), Ryleigh, Jace as well as his sister-in-love Shelia Creech and husband Rick of Princeton, N.C. and brother-in-law Keith Vaughn and wife Lisa of Pine Level, N.C. and many nieces and nephews. Karen Wessberg (Erik), Kim Hardwick (Billy), Dusty Ferrell (Tony), Brian Vaughn (Lexus), and Brandon Vaughn.
Warren was a man of God and enjoyed attending services at The Bridge Church in Smithfield. He will always be remembered as an avid hockey fan and enjoyed cheering on The Hurricanes with his daughter Ashley and granddaughter Lexie. His family and friends will certainly miss his laugh, his wisdom, and his outgoing personality.
Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, N.C. from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will take place, Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Stovall officiating, followed by a graveside service at 12:00p.m. in The Eastern Carolina States Veterans Cemetery at,164 Longs Plant Farm Rd
Goldsboro, N.C. where he will be honored with a deserving Military service.
