Clifton Nelson Bagley, 90, completed his earthly journey June 22, 2022. He proudly served our country for four years with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Clifton was a member of American Legion Post 71 and a member of Granite Masonic Lodge #191, A.M. & F.M., Clayton, NC. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Clifton is survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha; son, Mark (Lori) Bagley of Matthews, NC; son, Glenn (Natasha) Bagley of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren; Rebecca and Holden Bagley of Matthews, NC; Olivia (Matthew) Williams, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Andrew (Ali) Bagley of Charleston, SC; brother, John (Dolores) Bagley of Clayton, NC; sister-in-law, Emily Bagley, Clayton, NC; great-granddaughter, Eloise Williams; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walton and Lucille Bagley; and brother, William Bagley.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 4:30 until 6:00pm at McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton with Dr. John Allen officiating. Burial will be immediately follow the service at Maplewood Cemetery in Clayton.
