Danny Glenn Brown, 73, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. He was born June 3, 1950 in Johnston County to the late Johnnie Barden Brown and Annie Pearl Thompson Brown Olive. Danny loved the Lord, his family, camping and Duke Basketball. He was a member of Green Pines Baptist Church and participated on the Missions Team. He worked many years as a truck driver for various companies.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 16, 2024 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow at Knollwood Cemetery in Clayton.
The family will visit prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shelby Lovett Brown; daughter, Stephanie Brown Dennis; siblings: Brenda Dixon, Dennis Brown, Jerry Brown, Gloria Creech, Angela Olive and Craig Olive; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Brown.
