Darla Ann Judkins, 52, of Newton Grove, North Carolina, passed away on May 27, 2023, at Rex hospital after suffering from cardiac arrest on Mother’s Day. While the doctors were able to get her heart back, she never woke up. Darla was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing.
Darla was born March 2, 1971, to Louise G. Pounds (Baim) and Samuel L. Judkins in Sacramento, California. Darla received a degree in criminal justice from Central Carolina Community College and began to work for the state as a corrections officer.
Darla loved spending time with her family and friends, as well as working at her current job at McDonald’s. She also loved being with her grandkids who she adored.
Darla was preceded in death by her mother, Louise G. Pounds (Baim); stepmother, Cathi L. Judkins; sister, Carmilla Baim; brother, Sheryl Judkins. Darla leaves to cherish her precious memories; her daughters, Angelina (Brandon) Armour and Asia Irving; sons, Marco Leso Jr. and Dale Irving Jr.; father, Samuel L. Judkins; sister, Amrea Judkins; brother, Israel Judkins. Darla also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives. Darla will miss be dearly missed. She enjoyed making people smile. Her personality was just as big as her smile.
