Princeton – Ret. MSgt David John Wagner, age 67, went to be with his Savior on Sunday, February 26, 2023, after a brief illness while surrounded by family. He was born October 13, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Rosemary Bleeker Wiley.
Dave proudly served 22 years in the United States Marine Corps before embarking on a career in the IT field. He lived a life of service to family, friends, and others in need. Besides spending time with family and friends, Dave enjoyed golf, woodworking, and traveling in his retirement years.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the burial to follow at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Dave is preceded in death by one sister, Dianna “Dee Dee” Wagner. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Corinne “Cory” Wagner, one son, David John Wagner Jr and wife Alyssa, one daughter, Dawn Jenelle Wagner, two granddaughters, Morgan and Sydney Jarczaszek, and two brothers, Bill Wiley, Dan Wiley and wife Hilda.
