David Junior Hill, age 78, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his home in Goldsboro. He was born on September 14, 1945, in Groveland, FL to the late Clyde Richard Hill and Gladys Spires Hill. He was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Hill.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Smithfield with the burial to follow in the Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 24 years. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for Sams Club, and was a Professor at the University of Mount Olive for 20 years.
David is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Hill of Goldsboro; son, Michael Hill (Rhonda) of Manteo, NC; son, Darold Hill (Michele), Marion, NC; son Stephen Hill (Shelby) of Clayton, NC; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
