Earline Maynard Jackson

    Earline Maynard Jackson passed peacefully to Heaven surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 22nd. She was born on Tuesday August 18th, 1936.

    Earline’s life was filled with Faith, Family and Friends. She married her Soulmate and Best Friend, Lloyd Allen Jackson on September 7th, 1956. Their Union was blessed with a daughter Beverly and son-in-law, Ray Hawley.

    It was rare to see Earline and Lloyd without the other one and it was certain that when the doors opened at their greatly loved church, Randall’s Chapel they would be present. This couple supported each of their pastors, always offering support and unconditional Love. Earline and Lloyd were pillars of their church and community living a Life above Reproach.

    Travel was exciting to both of them and they seized their earlier years to enjoy Hawaii, Alaska, cruises and their favorite Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Wherever they traveled, they made new friends.

    Earline was a talented seamstress and enjoyed a long, successful career in sewing factories in Benson and Newton Grove. She had talents for floral arranging and decorating and used it to decorate the sanctuary and fellowship hall for all occasions through several decades. She was known for many delicious cooking creations, most especially her chicken and pastry, chocolate meringue pies and deviled eggs. If a friend or neighbor was in need, their vehicle was the first to arrive offering prayers and support.

    For many years at the NC State Fair in the House-Autry area, Earline and Lloyd Allen could be seen welcoming new friends and old while frying and serving up hush puppies.

    Earline was active in the Red Hat Society – Rose Petals Chapter for several years.

    Earline was preceded in death by her parents Cleo Johnson and Carliest Tilghman Maynard, her mother and father in-law, Bertha Mae and Jasper Jackson, several siblings and in-laws and beloved grand fur baby, Grizzly.

    Left to cherish her memory are her Soulmate and Best Friend of 67 years, Lloyd Allen Jackson, daughter Beverly June and husband Ray Hawley, Sisters Willa Dean Bryant of Dunn, Emma Mae Peterson of Clinton, Linda Jernigan of Dunn, Ellen Jernigan of Newton Grove, several in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, a huge number of loving friends and fur kitty Suzy.

    Her funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 25th at 2:00 o’clock at Randall’s Chapel PFWB Church, 278 Randall’s Chapel Road, Newton Grove NC. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00. Officiating will be the church Pastor, Rev. Horace Johnson and former pastor Rev. Glenn McCullen of Benson, NC. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery of Newton Grove, NC.
