Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Ivan Dean Woodall, age 62, of Lee Public Road passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral Services will be held-11:00 AM Friday, April 26, 2024 at First Advent Christian Church of Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Della Grace Hargis. Burial will follow in Barbour’s Chapel Church Cemetery in Four Oaks.
Mr. Woodall was born on July 11, 1961 in Johnston County to the late Vonzo and Mary Ellis Woodall. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Woodall and Joseph Woodall. Prior to retirement, he was a correctional officer at the Johnston County Detention Center. He had a love for the outdoors where he loved to fish, pan for gold, and was a talented wood-worker. Mr. Woodall also had a great sense of humor and had many stories to tell.
Survivors include his daughter, April Lewis and husband, Scott; son, Adam Woodall and wife, Catherine; grandchildren, Will Woodall, Graylee Lewis, and Walker Lewis; sister, Debbie Brunner and husband, Jay; step-brother, Bobby Creech; step-sister, Judy Strickland; special friend, Julius Spoon and family; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Jay and Debbie Brunner.
