Jackie Allen McLamb, age 78, of Greeneville, TN, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Jackie was a native of Four Oaks, North Carolina, and attended Four Oaks High School. She was a member of Four Oaks Baptist Church and spent many years as a loyal member of the Four Oaks Rescue Squad Women’s Auxiliary, she also remained a member of the North Carolina Rescue and EMS Auxiliary.
After moving to Greeneville, Jackie attended Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Her passing completes the circle that began with her parents, the late Tommie and Betty Jackson Allen. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Betty Keen, Dorthy Stewart, Lois Stanley, and Margaret “Nell” Taylor; brother: Tommie Allen Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years and 5 days: Linwood McLamb; one daughter: Betty Graybill (Pete) of Garner, NC; one grandson: Taylor Bloyer (Kyla); two great-grandsons: Jaylen Cole and Aiden James all of Raleigh, NC; brother-in-law: John Taylor of Raleigh, NC; several nieces and nephews; her sister for life: Kathern Johnson; her extended family: Joyce Fox and family. She had spontaneous love for many that became “adopted” children that called her mama. She will be missed by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home, Greeneville, TN. Funeral services will follow at Noon in the funeral home chapel.
Following services, the body will be taken to Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC, where the family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Bethel Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
