Benson, NC: Mr. James Cephas “J.C.” Johnson, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab Center in Benson, NC. Graveside Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Friday, July 29, 2022 at Roselawn Cemetery Community Mausoleum in Benson, NC. Rev. Darren Brisco will officiate.
Mr. Johnson was born on August 30, 1933 in Johnston County, NC to the late Alton B. and Estella Beasley Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorrine Capps Johnson, brothers, Edward Johnson, Herbert Lee Johnson and Melvin C. Johnson. Mr. Johnson retired from Chicopee in Benson, NC with many years of service. He was a member of Unity Advent Christian Church, Four Oaks, NC.
Survivors include his sister, Leta Gray Creech and husband, James; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:30PM-2:45pm on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home of Leta and James Creech 170 Beasley Road, Benson, NC 27504.
