James Kelvin Griffin age 49, passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Also known as “Junior or Gripp”, Kelvin was a loving Husband, Daddy and PaPa. He was born in Franklin County, NC on September 10th, 1974 to the late James Willard and Jennie B. Griffin.
He worked at N&N Electric Co. in Selma for 30 years as an Electrician. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially with his precious granddaughter Ainslee. The beach was one of his favorite places to go. He was a light just by walking in a room and could make anyone laugh no matter who.
The family will receive visitors in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Saturday January 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow the visit in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service in Price Cemtery.
Kelvin leaves behind wife Diana Griffin, son Dylan Griffin, daughter Mackenzie Griffin and granddaughter Ainslee Griffin all of Kenly, NC. Mother in law Bessie Young, Sister in law Sandra (Keith) Bridgers all of Selma, NC. Brother in law Christopher Chad Young and his fiancée Michelle Gilmore of Smithfield, NC. Niece Alexis young, Nephew’s Dakota Young, Hunter Young and Kyler Bridgers. Uncle Ferman Burnette of Franklin County, NC and cousins. Many dear friends and co-workers and his boss Steve Narron.
