Kenly – James Richard Weaver, age 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday December 7, 2022. He was born in Johnston County on December 4, 1942 to the late Clinton Weaver and Gladys Barnes Weaver. In addition to his mother and father, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Weaver; sisters, Brenda Wall, Carol Pearce, Elizabeth Weaver, Linda Boyette.
A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Sunday December 11, 2022 at 3 PM. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 PM to 3 PM. Burial will follow the service in Kenly Cemetery.
Mr. Weaver is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jean Edwards Weaver; son, Scotty Weaver and wife Gela of Four Oaks; daughters, Kathy Stone of Clayton, Lisa Weaver of Four Oaks; brother, Melvin Weaver and wife Miriam; sisters, Mary Winslow, Faye Hooks and husband Tim, Audrey Stott and husband Freddie; grandchildren, Tanner Stone, Dawson Weaver, Mason Weaver, Amrynn Weaver.
Mr. Weaver was a member of Niagara Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kenly. He retired from Pepsi after 48 years and when he wasn’t working he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Fund at Niagara Pentecostal Holiness Church 1820 Bagley Rd, Kenly, NC 27542.
The family will receive visitors at the home in Kenly at other times.
