Janice Worley Lewis, 85, of Princeton went to be with the Lord on, Friday August 2, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. She was surrounded by her family. Janice was born on February 12, 1939 in Johnston County to the late Ada Worley Stanley and step-father; Clarence Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lee and grandson, Patrick Raynor.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at Shallcross in Smithfield and Bussman in Goldsboro. She was a longtime and heavily involved member of Princeton Baptist Church. She had a special passion for animals.
Janice is survived by her husband; Dail Lewis, daughters; Lynn Raynor (Buster) of Greensboro, Jenny Tart of Clayton, Susan Lewis of Goldsboro, sister; Rose Waters of Princeton, sister-in-law; Ann Lee, grandchildren; Colin Parker (Katie), Madison Bizzell (Brent), and Cameron Raynor; and a special Canine grandchild, Rudy and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations. The funeral will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, August 5, 2024 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with the Reverend Dwayne Batten officiating. There will be a private entombment in Princeton Cemetery.
