Selma – Jerry Wayne Creech, age 72, passed away into eternity on Wednesday July 30, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Wilson County on July 16, 1953 to the late Wiley D. Creech and Christene Johnson Creech. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Creech.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Monday August 4, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held following the visitation at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 38 years, Winnie Creech of the home; son, Jarrett Creech and wife Tabatha of Selma; daughter, Lindsee Braswell of Smithfield; brother, Jimmy Creech of Kenly; brother in law, Phil Johnson of Selma; sister, Gloria Chesney and husband Kenny of Kenly; sisters in law, Bonnie Johnson and Becky Narron and husband Danny, Bonnie Creech; grandchildren, Aubrie, Lexi, Payton, Rayne, Faith; great grandchild, Ryder; many nieces, nephews, special aunts and also, numerous friends he considered family.

Mr. Creech was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed drag racing and even worked as a mechanic for many years. Wayne retired from the NCDOT and owned a dump truck company during his working years. He was a member at New Jerusalem Church in Kenly and loved his family dearly.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Waynel Anderson for the compassionate and dedicated care she provided not only to Mr. Creech but also the family.
