Selma- Johnny Lee Capps, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 6, 2025 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. He was born in Wake County on December 5, 1953 to the late Sinclair Capps and Vera Lee Lawhorn Capps. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Capps and step father, David Ennis.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Saturday March 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held in Price cemetery 1945 Pine Level Selma Rd at 11:15 AM on Saturday.

Johnny is survived by his daughters, April Harbaugh of Summerville, SC, Ashley Blackwell (Daniel) of Jacksonville, NC, Melissa Woodard (Robin) of Selma, NC, Melinda Garcia (Marco) of Selma, NC; brothers, James Capps (Cathy), Jerry Capps (Angie), Wayne Ennis (Ann), Frank Ennis (Claire); sister, Trevis Maleski (Mike); grandchildren, Alexander “AJ” Jacob Thompson, Jackson Harbaugh, Elisa, Ashlyn, Emma and Dylan Blackwell, Landon Bordonaro; great-grandchild, Liam Thompson; nephew, Russell Webster and wife Johnna Webster and many other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
